The San Diego Puppet Insurgency uses the creation and performance of street theater to build community, create social change, and celebrate our humanity.
Our performances educate and involve our community on issues such as social justice, climate change, combating consumerism, recycling, global women struggles and racism. We plant the seeds of empowerment and social change with home grown, independent, original performances using recycled materials and accessible techniques.
The San Diego Puppet Insurgency (SDPI) invites musicians, actors, visual artists, and all people of good heart to take messages of Peace and Justice to the streets.
Puppet Insurgents are horrified by the Trump Administration and the rise of racism, Islamaphobia, the danger of petroleum products, climate change, anti-semitism, it has brought.
We hope to create greater avenues of involvement for the diverse communities of San Diego.
